[ you might have gotten a nice little text message in your communication device, telling you to come party in Orlea. There's all types of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, and a mixture of foods to snack on. the music is also pulsing and loud enough to get you wanting to dance.

[THIS PARTY IS A SAUSAGE FEST LET'S FIX THAT SHALL WE. Porrim's acclimated enough to her surroundings to be able to enjoy herself, and she does enjoy parties. One might notice that she brought her own flask, and if you get close enough to smell it, it has a faint metallic scent to it. It's nighttime, so she's lit up, giving off her own subtle glow. It's a fun party trick, anyway.

Dressed in her usual long gown, low-cut and slit up the side, Porrim can be found in the middle of the floor, shakin' her thang.]

[harpbeat]

[At least Eater looks like a lady??]

How do you do the glowy thing?

[genitrix]

[She looks down at the girl by her side, turning obligingly to answer but still moving her hips to the music.]

It's a natural ability that comes to rainbow drinkers such as myself.

[harpbeat]

I have no idea what that is, but it's cool!

[Eater will also start to dance - his female half may be the minstrel, but he can appreciate shakin' it.]

[genitrix]

I believe the human equivalent is a vampire.

[She watches cautiously, still dancing, waiting for a negative reaction. She hadn't realized that there was such a stigma attached to vampirism in other cultures.]

[harpbeat]

Oh, that's one I've heard of. Haven't met one yet, though - nice to meet ya.

[Live and let live, or live and let unlive, it's the same to him.]

[genitrix]

Likewise. I'm Porrim.

[She's pleasantly surprised—the lady at the blood bank, for example, had looked at her like she was an insect. It also might have had something to do with the grey skin, horns, blank eyes, and copious tattoos and piercings.]

[harpbeat]

My name's Eater. Just got here.

[genitrix]

[She chuckles. Thirsty, she raises her flask to drink from it, and wipes away the residual red from her lips with a clawed finger.] You and me both. Know anyone else here?

Wow, I've never seen someone like you before.

[ that's the first thing that slips out of his mouth after walking up to you. he flushes a bit, embarrassed at what he's said ]

[genitrix]

[Her lips curve into a smile. No offense taken. It's something she's already used to after two days here.]

I'll take that as a compliment.

[foolsaround]

Yeah, I've gotta say, I've never seen someone like you, but you look cool. I dig the horns.

[genitrix]

[Her grin widens. 'Cool' is kind of her thing, though she's not as vocal about it as some. Porrim tosses her hair over her shoulder effortlessly.]

Thanks. Most people ask if they can touch them. I don't think they believe me that they're real.

Woah, isn't that a bit forward for people to ask?

[ he gestures at your horns ]

I mean, they're like a part of you and stuff. So it must be weird to hear people asking you to touch you like that.

[genitrix]

It is. Especially since, for my kind, petting our horns is a bit like petting a cat.

[She laughs.] But I've never been shy about physical contact.

[foolsaround]

[ he laughs with you, his hand rubbing against the back of his neck as he gives you a grin afterwards ]

Good to know.

[genitrix]

[She's been dancing a little the whole time, keeping her hips moving to the beat. Now she comes a little closer.]

Dance with me?

[garwin]

[When Reid first catches sight of her...yeah, he kind of stares-hard not too considering the skin and the horns and the glow. But he's never seen anyone who looks like her before, and yeah, it's kind of really strange, but she's also really attractive, and that balances things out quite well. He's had a few drinks by now, he's more relaxed and open ti strange things than he would be normally. It was enough, at least, to make him risk his health and safety by going over to her, coming up behind her and resting his hands on her hips. He matched her rhythm, moving to the beat of the music.]

Well, you're certainly interesting.

[genitrix]

[She shows little sign of alarm, but when she turns to look over her shoulder her green-painted lips twist into a smile. Blonde isn't a hair color she's used to, yet, and she takes a moment to survey her new dance partner. Easily, her slender arms rise to stretch behind her and wrap elegantly around his neck.]

I could say the same.

[garwin]

[So sorry, he generally touches first, asks permission never...it's really no wonder he usually creeps people out unintentionally. That and his lack of smooth flirting skills. But at least he's not asking anything terribly blunt like 'what are you?'. Yet. That question might come eventually though. For now though, he just smiles and starts with something simple.]

What's your name?

[genitrix]

[She allows her bottom to press back into him, smiling more to herself than anything.]

I'm Porrim. Who are you?

[garwin]

[He smirked, enjoying the closeness and pulled her just a little bit closer.]

The name's Reid. Not to be rude, but I've never met anyone like you before.

[genitrix]

What do you mean?

[She's playing innocent, obviously.]

Grey? Horned? Glowing?

[garwin]

All of the above. [He laughed.] I mean, I've met girls before who could light up a room, but never quite so literally.

It's cool though.

[genitrix]

[She smiles widely, exposing pearly, pointed fangs.]
