[ you might have gotten a nice little text message in your communication device, telling you to come party in Orlea. There's all types of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, and a mixture of foods to snack on. the music is also pulsing and loud enough to get you wanting to dance.

the party will go on all night till the morning, so bring a date or just bring yourself ]

I'm sure I'd appreciate it, if I could have it.

[She pauses, embarrassed to even ask.]

....Sorry, what's beer?

[harpbeat]

An alcoholic drink made from grain. Basically a cheap way of getting drunk.

[genitrix]

Ah. I never was one for intoxicants, back when I could have them.

[harpbeat]

Your choice. But what made them stop working?

[genitrix]

I became a rainbow drinker. I'm afraid once I acquired a taste for blood, nothing else sounded satisfying.

[harpbeat]

That's fair. And they don't make alcoholic blood, do they?

[genitrix]

[She laughs wryly.]

Not in the blood bank. If I drank from someone who'd been drinking...

[Her blank, luminous gaze flits around the room, but without pupils it's impossible to tell.]

But I doubt that would be ethical.

[harpbeat]

Not a lot of people just offer. You'd have to ask pretty nicely.

[He might say yes.]

[genitrix]

Hm, I'm aware, yes. It's a touchy subject. Until I find a willing donor, it's easiest for me to use the blood bank.

[harpbeat]

You could have mine, I've been drinking a lot.

[genitrix]

[She eyes Eater cautiously.]

Is that a serious offer?

[harpbeat]

Sure. Maybe not on the middle of the dance floor, we'd get stared at, but sure!

[genitrix]

Now?

[She has to consider this seriously. Blood banks are fine and dandy, but drinking straight from the source is preferable. Of course, she wouldn't do it here in the middle of this party, but perhaps outside...]

I've never met anyone so willing to, um, donate.

[harpbeat]

You are at a party and you can't even have beer. That is a crime against the world and I won't stand for it.

[genitrix]

[She laughs, then shrugs, trying to remain cool.]

You're not like most people. I appreciate it.

[harpbeat]

That is the best compliment I've ever gotten.

[Let's face it, Eater's kind of a weirdo. Before you even factor in the split personality fallen angel parts of him.]

[genitrix]

[Porrim smiles broadly, and then gestures languidly toward the door.]

Shall we step outside?

[harpbeat]

Ladies first.

[Not that he's much of a gentleman but y'know. He can if he wants to be?]

[genitrix]

[She's a tiny bit confused by that statement, but she's not about to be judgmental. If Eater identifies as non-female, that's just fine by her. She leads the way out of the house and around to the side, where there's a nice shadowy alley. How stereotypical.]

Here will probably be best. If you'd like to make yourself comfortable, you can either sit or stand.

[harpbeat]

Standing's fine. Do you do it from the neck or am I reading too many stereotypical books?

[genitrix]

[She shrugs.]

Usually from the neck. I can do it from the wrist, if you're more comfortable with that.

[harpbeat]

I almost forget where I have frills. Hang on. [He slips off his black choker.] Kay, neck's good.

[genitrix]

Perfect.

[Gently, Porrim places her arms around Eater and guides him to lean back against the wall. She approaches her mouth to his neck, inhaling and exhaling calmly.]]

This won't hurt, but you may feel a bit faint. Just hold on to me.

[Then, slowly and carefully, she sinks her fangs into Eater's neck, her breathing carefully regulated. Once she's made her wound, she pulls out gently and begins to lap at it with a long, grey tongue.]

[harpbeat]

[It's not a terrible wound, and Eater's taken much worse. Still, he holds onto her, making sure that he doesn't fall over later.

Man. Other Eater's going to be pissy in the morning about the bite marks.]

[genitrix]

[Her breathing goes markedly shallow as she drinks, not allowing a drop to spill. It's iron-rich, more metallic than she's used to, but at the moment it's the most delicious thing she's had. Warm and fresh and thick. She holds onto him easily, supporting him at the small of his back and behind his shoulder.

Finally, when she's finished, she gives the wound one more lick to clean away any smears of blood, and pulls her face away. It's then that her maternal instincts kick in.]
