[ come one come all ]
Who: Everyone and everyone!
What: A party to break everyone into mallowhallow and get them mingling
Where: Orlea
When: March 4th
[ you might have gotten a nice little text message in your communication device, telling you to come party in Orlea. There's all types of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, and a mixture of foods to snack on. the music is also pulsing and loud enough to get you wanting to dance.
the party will go on all night till the morning, so bring a date or just bring yourself ]

He grins though, and settles his other hand on Balfour's shoulder-that's what he's supposed to do with it, right? Either way at least that makes it harder for wandering hands to happen. Yeah, it's safer like this.]
You make it sound easy!
[While he's just trying not to step on Balfour's feet. So far he's succeeding, but, well, we'll see how long that lasts.]
no subject
[He does just that, slows and makes each step pronounced, not once looking at his feet.]
I've been doing this all my life.
no subject
[That helps, it really does. He just needs to get the hang of where to move his feet-and there he goes, stepping on Balfour's foot for the first time. He quickly readjusts his foot placement though, so it's not quite so bad.]
Sorry. [Remember this moment forever-he might not actually flat out apologize again like this for a long time. He glances down a little, then back up.]
I can tell you have.
no subject
[He laughed softly. There was a time where he was the clumsiest kid in the class. Then again, the class consisted of him and his brother.]
You're doing well.
no subject
[He smiles. Really, he's trying not to keep looking down, but every now and then he can't help it-he just wants to be sure he's still doing this right, and you know, embarrass himself as little as possible.]
I learn quick. [When he actually tries, and cares enough.
Subtly, or at least he's pretty sure it's subtle, he moves just a little closer to Balfour. Just a little. It can't hurt, right?]
no subject
I can teach you. I'm sure it's a life skill that you could use. And it's easier to charm a girl if you're already sweeping her off her feet.
[He laughs softly.]
no subject
It'll probably take a while before I'm actually any good at this. [And, you know, just not managing to not step on Balfour's feet most of the time. But he also wouldn't mind how long that would take.] They'd definitely be impressed though. [He grins. Because it'd be a completely different tact than...what he usually does.]
no subject
[He smiles and continues, picking up the pace just a bit.]
no subject
[He smiled, doing his best to keep up still. It really wasn't that hard if he didn't think about it too much, but he still felt a little awkward.]
So. You have stuffy parties and you fly dragons, but what do you actually do for fun?
no subject
[And not much else, especially lately. There wasn't much time for him to do any real leisurely activities.]
And dancing isn't so bad when it's not a woman pawing all over me.
no subject
[That...wasn't really what Reid would consider fun, but to each their own.]
Better when you're dancing with someone like me? [He was even behaving himself-miracle of miracles. For now, at least.]
no subject
[He gives a teasing smile, wondering to himself if it was better because Reid was a guy or because he was…Reid. Honestly, he wasn't sure.]
no subject
[And not all tense and like a kicked puppy or something, like when they'd first met.]
no subject
[As far as society goes, he's seen the dregs of even the upper class.]
They're not very tolerant of people like me in my world. Unless you have the money and the Talent to shut them up and just don't care...
[He sighed, pressing his forehead to Reid's, pulling him even closer, smiling.]
It's nice knowing someone who doesn't care.
no subject
[He got it, he really did. At least, he sort of did. He didn't know whatever things Balfour had been through, but he knew dealing with people over this kind of thing was hard.]
People like you. You keep making it sound like there's something wrong with you. It's the pricks who can't deal with someone being gay that have something wrong with them. [Hadn't he said something like this before? He was pretty sure he had.
He smiled a little. Being close was nice, close and comfortable, and if he wanted to it would be so easy to just...
Reid kissed him. Just like that, no warning, just suddenly a gentle, lingering kiss. He might have been rough around the edges, and not the most romantic or gentle guy, but at times he could make an exception to that.]
no subject
Turned out that he really didn't need to, either, since Reid was kissing him. He sighed happily and ran his fingers through Reid's hair, pulling him closer, parting his lips in invitation.
He was aware for any sort of backlash, but when it didn't come, he relaxed and closed his eyes.
Maybe it wasn't so bad, at least here. Maybe they don't care here.]
no subject
And if someone bothers you here, just point 'em in my direction. I'll make sure they don't do it again.
[He kissed Balfour again, just as sweetly as the first time.]
no subject
So you're not going to hear any complaining about that kiss. He kissed him back, his fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer. He's enjoying the soft kiss, but he would like it to be a little more...
Intense.]

He's still more interested in the tongue poking at his lips, however, so he doesn't say anything about it. He just parts his lips and lets his own tongue touch Reid's, curling against it, inviting it in.]
no subject
He offered a slightly sheepish smile, though it didn't really last long before it was replaced by a smirk.]
I've got an idea.
no subject
What's the idea?
[It better be worth not kissing, Reid.]
no subject
Down boy.
[He pulled away enough to look around, looking for a quieter corner of the party with an unoccupied chair. Spotting such a thing, he started towards it, tugging Balfour by the hand.] C'mon.
no subject
When told to follow, he does, staying close to him, wondering what he's up to. It takes him a moment to notice the empty chair, and then he smiles, nodding to himself.
Definitely worth not kissing for a few minutes.]
no subject
Have a seat.
[Far more polite than the initial 'sit' he was going to go with, or you know, not saying anything at all and just pushing Balfour into the chair.]
