[ you might have gotten a nice little text message in your communication device, telling you to come party in Orlea. There's all types of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, and a mixture of foods to snack on. the music is also pulsing and loud enough to get you wanting to dance.

[So sorry, he generally touches first, asks permission never...it's really no wonder he usually creeps people out unintentionally. That and his lack of smooth flirting skills. But at least he's not asking anything terribly blunt like 'what are you?'. Yet. That question might come eventually though. For now though, he just smiles and starts with something simple.]

What's your name?

[She allows her bottom to press back into him, smiling more to herself than anything.]

I'm Porrim. Who are you?

[He smirked, enjoying the closeness and pulled her just a little bit closer.]

The name's Reid. Not to be rude, but I've never met anyone like you before.

What do you mean?

[She's playing innocent, obviously.]

Grey? Horned? Glowing?

[garwin]

All of the above. [He laughed.] I mean, I've met girls before who could light up a room, but never quite so literally.

It's cool though.

[She smiles widely, exposing pearly, pointed fangs.]

Ever met one who fed on blood?

Can't say that I have.

[He doesn't seem particularly worried or surprised, either. When one was a warlock, a vampire wasn't exactly all that far-fetched.]

So you're a vampire?

[genitrix]

[Even she's not expecting it, but she giggles, because it sounds so ridiculous to say.]

And a ghost.

[garwin]

[Well that surprised him a little. And caused confusion.]

A ghost? What do you mean?

[genitrix]

[She shrugs. She's not really sure how to explain it.]

I died, back on my home planet. But I'm still...around, I guess? I can't really walk through walls or anything. Combined with the whole vampire thing...

[She tucks an unruly strand of hair behind a pointed ear.]

I'm the dead undead.

[garwin]

[Oh. Well that was...kind of strange. And unexpected. It actually managed to make him look a little unsure. Despite all of that, he managed to compose himself again fairly quickly.]

Well, I've gotta say. For being dead you're looking really good.

Sorry. Too weird?

[She gives him a sheepish look, which is difficult when you don't have any pupils.]

Nah. Well, it's pretty close to the top of my list of weird things, but you know. [The point was, he actually had a list of weird things, so he was almost kind of used to this sort of thing. So long as he doesn't think about it too much.]

So what planet are you from? [Like that, can't think about that too much, it's a lot to wrap his mind around.]

Beforus. You've probably never heard of it.

[She swears she's not being a hipster.]

Mostly because it doesn't really exist anymore.

Nope. Never heard of it.

What happened to it?

[genitrix]

It...it's difficult to explain. The short answer would be that it was wiped clean, so to speak, and started over as a very different place.

[She looks vaguely pained at the thought of it, her movements becoming a little less smooth.]

[garwin]

Oh. [Good going, moron. It's finally, finally occurred to him that a topic like this might be unpleasant to talk about-an idea that hadn't even crossed his mind before right now.]

So...everything and everyone is just...gone?

[Well, that probably did not help. Maybe he should just shut up.]

It was reinhabited with a new civilization. Same species, very different culture.

[She forces a smile.]

It's okay. Look, I think I'm going to go outside for a bit. Get some fresh air.

[He wanted to ask more questions, because he was curious, but he'd already asked enough as it was. So he just nodded and sighed, smiling a little.]

Alright. It was nice to meet you.

[She nods, stepping away.]
