Everything is not...

Who: Alex and OPEN
What: Alex is new. She's getting snark back to her.

Alex was walking around, eyes narrowed on the chalkboard she was holding in her hand. Since arriving she hadn't even checked to see if her wand was tucked away in her boot still. In fact, it wouldn't be for a short while after even that for her to realize checking might be a good idea. She blinked, attempting to get a grasp on everything going on and gave a small snerk at a mental process that mirrored what Justin would be doing. Or her dad.

Finally, she would let out a gasp and bend down to reach just inside her boot in order to grab the wand there with a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god I thought I'd have to do stuff by hand" She laughed as she thought of that. Her? Doing things by hand? Right.

"Doesn't it count as doing things by hand with that? Don't you need to wave it or something?"

Primo was simply walking by when he heard the girl's comment, sparing only a glance at the wand in her hand. Both her apparent relief and the chalkboard pointed her as a new arrival, another foreigner to the kingdom just like he was. And that was the reason why he bothered to stop and reply to a comment that was rhetorical and private.

[She was trying to get some space from Alec. Since he'd arrived, she'd been doing the best she could to dodge him. Noticing Alex, she didn't pay much mind. She noticed the wand though.]

You're that lazy?

Alex heard the new voice and blinked, "What? Psh. Yeah. If magic were real I would." She aimed to give her best 'You're crazy if you think that, boy' tone, but was slightly panicked because what if that didn't fly by?

"But hey while I've got you here." She pointed the wand at Primo, not planning to use her magic at all of course. "You seen a really cute british guy who'd kind've dorky but that handsome adorable puppy dog kind of dorky?" She flicked the wand as she explained, again, nothing happening.

[Alex turned to her and blinked, looking from her wand to the girl in front of her.]

Yeah I am.

[She nodded before putting the wand back into her boot]

I'm also not entirely sane since I've been under the belief that magic is real and- Oh forget it, that's too much work. You saw what you did, that's that.

[And if Professor Crumbs or Professor Justin Vincenzo Pepe Russo show up and threaten to take away her power, so be it.]

Primo arched an eyebrow at that tone, golden eyes shining for a second in mirth, the wizard was clearly amused. "Then, I guess you're going to have to do stuff by hand indeed;" his tone was a resigned one, almost as if he was letting that go. He knew a wand when he saw one, a real one and not one of those toy ones, but if she didn't want to admit it she probably had her reasons.

At her question he closed his eyes for a moment, thinking about all the faces he had seen in the place so far even if he didn't speak to all of them. After a moment he was forced to shake his head; "Sorry but I'm afraid that I have not crossed paths with anyone that fits that description. But I'm hardly one to know everyone who is here, so don't give up just yet. If he's here though, calling for him using your chalkboard would be your best option." Not the most helpful thing and it irked him some to be just powerless enough to find times like those in which he was unable to provide any assistance. Still there was nothing he could do about it. "I'll keep my eyes open in case I see him around, who should I say that is looking for him?"

"Well duh, I will." She gave a small snerk and waved that wand again before putting it back where it was before in her boot.

"The chalkboard?" She lifted it up to look at it "What's this gonna do about anything?" When it finally came to the question of who she was, though, she debated what to say before finally resting on "Alex. If you see 'im, tell him Alex is looking for him."

[This girl was amusing... At least she didn't try hiding something that was obvious.]

So you can use magic huh? Intersting.

"The chalkboard is a communication device for us 'foreigners' in this place... Mine is a bit different but they work equally well," he took out his own wooden covered phone to show it to her.

"Alex, huh? All right, I'll make sure to not forget. In case you're curious my name's Primo," he didn't seem to really expect her to care though, but it would have been rude to not tell her. "I'll tell you to not lose hope even if he turns out to not be here yet, people keep arriving to this place at an irregular rate so maybe he will turn up later on. Or maybe you yourself will be returned to your home with the same amount of warning that you got when you were taken to this place."

"These are the weirdest forms of communication I have ever seen." Her voice was flat, honest, as she looked at both objects that were meant for communication.

"And Primo's a weird name. At least Alex is common. For both genders." She shrugged. She met people in the Wizard world who were named after the jobs their parents wanted them to have, so maybe not THAT weird.

Yup. I also use it to prank call people, it's really fun.

[There's a snerk. And Kelbo isn't here to run and push people out of the way this time!]

... That's... awesome...

Oh it totally is. Don't know if it works here as a phone, though. Or even if it'll go through to people here or back home or whatever.

[She shrugged before narrowing her eyes on the wand itself now]

I wanna figure it out though.

Wait... As a phone?

I'm sure it probably wouldn't reach back home. If they kidnapped us, I doubt our lovely parents would give us contact to the outside world besides the people who come here...

[Dat sarcasm]

I could probably try it. If it comes down to it, at least I could get some pranks in on the people here.

And yes, as a phone.

How would you use a wand as a phone...?

[She'll just take her wand and bend it just enough so it looks like magic hinges have activated]

I'll try Justin first for now.

[So she'll be pressing imaginary buttons, making 'beep boop' noises as she does so before putting it to her ear and waiting for a reply]

Just won't be as fun because- Awwww... Says I can't connect...

[She whined and sighed, getting her wand to its normal positioning and pouting just a bit]

That figures... This damn place doesn't like giving us any enjoyment.

Well that doesn't mean it doesn't work for phones here. Just means Justin isn't around at all.

[She gave a shrug]

I know someone you can prank.

[Stop it, Alice. Alec doesn't need any more crap from you.]
