dross is gold and weeds are a bouquet [OPEN; backdated]
Who: Miles Edgeworth and YOU!
What: He's flying. He's flying. He's really, really flying. Okay, so he kind of learned that the hard way (NO THANKS TO LARRY)
Where: All over Orlea - and beyond! Which means everywhere. Especially up in the sky.
When: April 6 up to end of event! Usually around late morning to afternoon.
Warnings: Watch out for flying prosecutors.
[OPTION A: Closed to Larry Butz
"Some disturbance among the people", the Queen had said. "Suspicious activity". Those words were enough to bring Edgeworth out onto the streets of Orlea to gather information about the other newcomers like himself, and also about the locals for good measure. So far, he had yet to see anything out of the ordinary (ordinary by Mallow Hallow standards, at least), but it couldn't hurt to investigate. The Queen, then again, could just be messing with the folks but there was only one way to truly find out.
He will start in Orlea, completely oblivious to what sort of "disturbance" this will be or its potentially disastrous consequences.]
[OPTION B: OPEN!
Edgeworth will be visibly shaken and a bit nervous the next time you see him, whether walking back to Orlea after crash-landing in Mallowhallow thanks to his first flight, or trying to resume his usual routine (as usual as it gets, again, in a place like Mallow Hallow). He will be taking very strong, slow and deliberate steps as if trying his best to stay on the ground and may or may not look a bit silly because it will look like he's punishing the ground for what has happened to him. Basically he won't be in the best mood when you run into his continuing investigation and stuff.
Perhaps you might even see him sitting in a cafe, consoling himself with a cup of tea and taking a bit of a break - still attempting to wrap his head around this new phenomenon.
HE'S FLYING.
THIS IS WRONG.]

Are you all right? You look a little... overextended.

She finds Edgeworth trudging his way back and excitedly runs to him.] Mr. Edgeworth! Hey! Can you fly?!
[No better way to ask than to just ask, right?]

I'm fine.

I...
[He looks uncertain and hesitant, raising a hand in a halfhearted gesture as if he did not know whether it was his turn to speak or not. Edgeworth could lie, of course, and say he didn't know how, but that was selfish and besides, the truth could find a way to make itself known in the end. Surely there was nothing wrong with telling Maya the truth.]
Yes, I can. [It doesn't mean he likes or wants to.]

[She frowns as she thinks on it a bit more.]
Honestly, I should be more worried myself.
HERE I AM, sorry for the wait!
And that individual is none other than the Butz. Who else could it be when there's potential trouble to get into?
Once he's stopped, Larry whirls around on one heel and waves to his friend.]
Didja see that, Edgey? I can fly! I saw you while I was flying so I thought I'd drop in.

You should be a little more grateful for your ability! There's a lot of kids who can't fly. [Her hands are fisted as she frowns at him, very disappointed. Think of the kids, Edgeworth. But really, she's had her own issues. She passed out for a while because of the dreaming thing.]
I am so much later sob I'm so sorryyyyy 1/2
Urk - ! Larry?!
Re: HERE I AM, sorry for the wait!
You...you can fly?!
[And yet...this wouldn't be the first time Edgeworth had seen flying beings. He had seen fairies, strange things in Astralfield that can only be denoted as strange things, and even some odd creature he met on his first day that he was certain would only exist in a fantasy comic on Earth. There was enough proof to show that they flew, and they existed.]
[Either Larry's next career choice is a particularly risky and technologically advanced one, or this is the "disturbance" our queen was talking about!]

[Kids aren't supposed to fly. Human beings aren't supposed to fly...well, all by themselves. This is going against the law of gravity. The law of evolution. The law of everything.
IT'S ALL WRONG.]

I would be more worried about those who aren't worried about this new phenomenon.
