they rose to the challenge

who: Kurama and Emmanuelle
what: Finding a way to make a tidy profit off the sudden influx of monsters in Mallow Hallow, of course.
when: Day 1 of the event.
where: Whitecrest, most likely.
warnings: Violence, likely little else.

Not long after the message from Tronctor that had appeared as Emmanuelle was browsing her scroll, much of which had been babble to her, it starts to happen. Much as she and Kurama had appeared out of nothing, out of nowhere, in the middle of Lochwell, things begin to appear all over the rest of the country. Monsters of every shape and size, wild and fearsome and rather dangerous-looking. Items, too—books and personal effects, weapons and objects that Emmanuelle couldn't quite make sense of, things from a time far ahead of her own. They take what they can—after all, it's not really stealing—and retreat to their cottage to figure out what's to be done.

It doesn't take long before she's peering out the window of their little home, watching those beasts gallivant about the district, chasing knights and, yes, being slain by them. One hand goes to her waist, where the petite sword Kurama had commissioned for her hangs, fingers curling around the grip. She turns away from the window, fixing him with a rather intense look, the one she gets when she wants something and won't rest until she has it.

"They have awfully pretty pelts on them, some of these creatures. It's likely they'd sell for a pretty penny."
