What: Yuuki somehow managed to get Zero to go shopping with her. AKA Shopping date yo

However way it happened, Yuuki somehow convinced Zero to go shopping with her. Although, there really wasn't any purpose to the shopping trip. If anything, all she wanted to do was to actually spend time with Zero alone while maybe trying to hide certain feelings for the boy. They'd been here for how long and not once had she been able to actually hang out with Zero, just the two of them; unless you count her arriving at Mallow Hallow. There'd always been someone who got in the middle of all it. Either Ichiru, Kaname, or some other people always seemed to butt in. While she didn't really have qualms against having company, it did get a little annoying after a while.

She really shouldn't have been over-thinking things, but it was hard not to say this was a date. Just the idea of being on a date made her flustered. She'd never really been on one before. Unlike most girls, she never seemed to really care about that fact because she was always too busy to even think of it. If she had to think about even considering dating anyone, the only person that came to mind was the boy she'd helped take in when he was injured. Even then she'd never really considered it until entering high school. One thing has been clear over the years, though.

Zero has always been one of the most important people in her life. She couldn't imagine living in a world that he was no longer apart of.

According to Kaname, she was his fiance, but it just felt so... weird. So awkward finding out that she'd be the fiance to her brother. And while it made sense as to why it would work out the way it would, she just couldn't get past the fact that he was her brother and family usually didn't have romantic relations; Something that she's had to learn to get over due to her crush on him. Of course she still loved her brother, but now it was in a different form as it was before she knew. Even if Zero and Yuuki pretty much distanced themselves during that time, according to Zero and Kaname, at least he was still around, and that's what was important. 

Getting out and just relaxing was kind of nice; Even if the word 'date' kept popping up in her mind and making her flustered. This shouldn't be like this. No! This should have been exciting, happy, and peaceful. No where in that sentence should nervous come up, but she couldn't help it. Standing where they were supposed to meet up at, she nervously kept to herself as she stared to the ground.

'This is not a date. This is not a date!' she thought.

It was still early in the day, and rather than taking a nap underneath a tree or practicing on his marksmanship, Zero was out on the streets of Astrafield shopping. It was annoying, even more so by the bright lights here and there. They were all random, the District's dream-like quality making everything seem out of place, especially the people... and there were a lot of them. Why were there so many people shopping at this time!

He should have just said no, and kept to it, but he was never good at denying Yuuki much, especially when she really wanted something. It was annoying, but... she seemed to want to go, and so he'd let her drag him out of the house and down to the mall where he hoped she'd find something sooner rather than later.

She was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she didn't noticed Zero walking up to her at first. She jumped slightly and then smiled. She knew shopping really wasn't Zero's favorite thing to do, but it was probably the most normal thing that they could do here anymore. Being able to keep to normality was kind of nice.

"Ah! Good morning, Zero," she greeted with a bright smile.

His arms were crossed, and he didn't bother looking up at her. "It's too late to call it morning still," he replied, an almost grumble behind his voice.

[gentlesnow]

"Ah... Well... I guess so," she started, glancing up to the sky to look at a cloud, "but the weather is beautiful today at least."

"Standing around won't get us anywhere. Let's go," she said taking his hand in hers and tugging him along. She looked away, looking forward as she was walking.

[leashed_hunter]

His hand was grabbed and although he could have easily pulled it away in time, he let her take it and drag him down the street, but not without making a noise about it.

"Tch. I can walk you know."

[gentlesnow]

It took her a moment before actually saying anything.

"I know," she responded.

While it didn't clearly say, she could have easily tacked on 'but I want to' on the end of her sentence.

The responds is enough to warrant his patience and he lets her tug him along, content to let her lead him. He walks behind her, hand in pocket, as they make their way through the busy, if not strange, streets of Astrafield.

"Is there anywhere that Zero wants to go?" Yuuki asked him.

She couldn't help but to feel happy. Not just because she could finally spend some time with him. It was obvious to her that there was much more to this for her than just that. That didn't stop her from trying to deny that this was a date the entire time, though.

[leashed_hunter]

"Anywhere is fine as long as there's not a lot of people." He didn't like crowds of shoppers.

[gentlesnow]

"Hmm...," She thought out loud, looking around. Noticing a clothing store nearby that didn't seem to crowded, she started to walk towards it.

"Maybe we could get you some stuff too?" she offered.

[leashed_hunter]

He gives her a look at that. "I don't need clothes."

[gentlesnow]

"Oh come on! It won't kill you to look for something yourself, you know?" she said, giving him a look back.

[leashed_hunter]

"We're here for you, not me."

[gentlesnow]

"Who said it was just for me," she pointed out. "Besides, it's not that busy in there and there's a boys and a girls section. I'd still look at things."

[leashed_hunter]

"Then, look at them," he tells her as he goes in. It's not like he plans on looking at anything besides the exit signs anyways.

[gentlesnow]

"Isn't there anything that you'd like? It doesn't have to be clothing, you know?" she asked him, entering the store.

She gazed around, looking to the men's area.

[leashed_hunter]

"I don't need anything," he tells her as he pushes on her shoulder in the direction of the girl's section.

[gentlesnow]

Being pushed toward the girl's section, she let out a sigh. "Fine, fine. But this isn't over," she announced.

While she did intend on shopping for herself to be ready for the upcoming season and what-not, she was now more determined to get Zero some stuff, too.

For now though, she resigned and looked amongst the racks.

He settled himself against a wall, his hands in his pockets as he watched her peruse through the clothes. He didn't know why she wanted him to come with her, but he assumed it was for the same reason why she always wanted someone with her when she went out back at the Academy.

The memories of her childhood still haunted her, and while he knew she was a Pureblood, right now, she was human with the same insecurities he remembered. He was content to know that his memories of her before she turned were fairly accurate... maybe that's why he let himself be dragged around by her... let himself see her as a human rather than a Pureblood masquerading around as one.

While that may have been true, she found herself thinking less and less of that. Maybe it was because this wasn't their world? Still, something about it did get to her and those memories would always haunt her to some extent. Maybe that was part of the reason she really wanted to be around Zero? It just... didn't seem right to not have the option to be around him.

She's heard all kinds of stories about how she was as a Pureblood and part of her couldn't believe it. Although, her thoughts about a lot of things had changed with that knowledge. To this moment, she still had no idea how to really feel about a lot of things.

One thing was for certain, though. She wanted to make things right. She could at least do that much right? And while her brother offered to turn her and give her back the powers she had dormant, she didn't know she wanted them.

She was really just afraid that if she did fully awaken and became her Pureblood self, would things go to shit after? She didn't want to ruin what she had already. And yet she'd made clear that she wasn't sure how to feel back being her brother's fiance, she was perfectly content being his little sister.

After all, all these years she thought she was an only child. The feeling of having family was nice.

That wasn't it, though. It was much more than that now. She couldn't imagine her life without Zero in it.

Picking up a shirt, "Look at this!"

While she knew Zero could probably care less, she was just happy to be in his presence.

His gaze rose up at the outburst, and he looked over at the garment. "What about it?"

[gentlesnow]

"Isn't it cute?" Worst thing to say to a guy who doesn't even want to get his own clothing. "I wonder what I'd wear it to, though...?" she thought out loud.

Yep. There's no real meaning behind this. Just trying to be social.

Yuuki just let out a small laugh. She expected that kind of answer. She put the garment back on the rack and started towards the guy's section.

Yep. She's going to find you something damn it.

Now that catches his attention.

"Those are too big for you."

[gentlesnow]

Looking at some of the stuff, she grabbed a shirt that caught her interest. Without saying anything, she walked back over to Zero and put it towards his chest.

"It's not for me," she pointed out, "It looks good on you. You should try it on."

[leashed_hunter]

He let her measure the shirt against him, but that was the extent of his cooperation.

"No thanks."

"Why not?" she pouted lightly. "It looks good on you"

He flicked her forehead gently with a finger.

"Because we came here to shop for you, nor for me."

Isn't it though?

Rubbing her forehead where he flicked it -- not that it hurt -- she held onto her pouty face.

"But I want to shop for you," she said.

*pinches cheeks*

[leashed_hunter]

"In that case, I'm leaving," he said as he moved to walk around her and toward the exit.

Owwww~

[gentlesnow]

"No!" she called out, shoving the shirt on the rack in a hurry. She caught up to him and hugged him from behind to stop him.

"I'm sorry...," she called out.

He stopped in his tracks, head bent and hands at his sides. He was quiet for a moment, his mind unconsciously turning back the clock to a time when...

"... Sorry for what?" A quiet tone that he tried to make sound casual. "Don't over think things too much."

"I won't try to do that anymore, so please don't leave," she said softly, not letting go. She set her head gently against his back. "I just want Zero to have fun, too."

[leashed_hunter]

His hands slowly unclench, and he turns around, and pokes at her shoulder non-chalantly.

"Don't be an idiot, like I'd have fun with something like this." This time he put more effort in trying to sound casual.

[gentlesnow]

She let out a small sigh. "Then what would you like to do?" she asked.

[leashed_hunter]

"You're here to get more clothes," he looked at the racks of clothes. "Then get them."

[gentlesnow]

"I don't need to get them. What do you want to do?" she asked again.

[leashed_hunter]

"It doesn't matter," he turns back to face her. "Do what you want to do Yuuki."

[gentlesnow]

She let out a sigh. Glancing around, she noticed a hat rack and giggled slightly. Slipping away, she came back shortly after and put a fedora on Zero's head. She'd found herself a big hat with a feather on it. Not that she was interested in them, but they did make her laugh lightly.

The damnable hat was on the floor within seconds, the Hunter giving the girl a look.

"That's not what I meant."

[gentlesnow]

"Come on! It's just meant to make you grin. At least I grabbed the fedora," she pointed out, pointing to the other ungodly ugly hats on the rack. "Do you really think I'd actually get something like this?" she asked, rolling her eyes.

[leashed_hunter]

"I wouldn't put it past you," a muttered response as he snatched the hat off the ground and put it back in its place, giving a glare before turning away.

"If you don't want to shop, then lets go," he didn't want to spend anymore time there than he absolutely had to.

[gentlesnow]

"Come on now, I wouldn't get this," she pouted slightly, putting her hat back. After a moment of thinking, she grabbed his hand and started to drag him along without warning. If he didn't like shopping, what would be fun? Well? What about an arcade?

[leashed_hunter]

He let her take his hand, and the two left the shop, bells ringing behind the as Yuuki dragged him along the street by-passing the midday shoppers as she ran off to god knows where. Zero followed behind, his steps long, but unhurried. He might not have had a clue where she was taking him but he didn't think he'd mind too much where it was so long as it made Yuuki happy.
