[And here is something totally not out of the ordinary, Edgeworth. A pony tugging the skirt of a woman who is passing by.] Hey, um....could ya tell me where I am?

[And because the residents turn their noses up at her because ewwww non-humanoid, the woman does the same. Frustrated, Apple Bloom sighs.]

Ugh. What is up with everypony in this place?

[A pony who talks. Totally a normal everyday thing to see, Edgey. Move along.]

[Well, Edgeworth just saw a talking cat today and a...a creature that called itself a fairy, but a talking pony is still something TOTALLY NOT NORMAL AND EVERYDAY. He stops in his tracks when he sees the little pony, and can't help but remark:]

They...ah, aren't ponies.

Well, of course they aren't pon - huh?! [She glances up to see who is speaking.

Wow, it's another of these funny things on two legs!] Oh! Um... . [Wow, he looks scary. At least he seems to notice her, though? Unlike the other humans around here.

She's going to just look a little nervously at you, Edgeworth. Have fun getting your brain getting broken even further! :D]

[prosecutory]

[When Apple Bloom looks nervously at him, all he can do is blink, and step a little closer to get a good look. And Edgeworth decides to speak up when this silence starts to unnerve him because...hello, little pony.]

...I take it you're new here as well.

[calculating]

[Continuing this, hi there Auste. This is the easier way of doing things okay.]

No way of knowing, yes, as of now. That may or may not change depending on the course of this investigation.

Is that so? In that case, how exactly do you plan on making them talk?

How I make any witness talk - by uncovering evidence and information throughout my investigation, and showing them that they cannot pull the wool over our eyes for long.

[Spoiler: IT WON'T WORK THIS TIME, EDGEWORTH.]

Making witnesses talk... I take it you're a lawyer, then?

[He nods, smiling a bit because YEEEEAAAAAH PROSECUTION. Anything is worth a try at this point, really.]

A prosecutor, to be precise.

[Prosecuting isn't bad, it's not even that hard, either. Not in Dangan Ronpa Suspect Everyone style, that is.]

Then let me ask you one question: how is it you're sure your usual methods will work here?

Then we need to figure something out. And if we're here for the long haul... we're in a whole different kind of trouble.

[She frowns, looking a little downcast.]

It's going to be a lot to do alone, though. And I'm not at all confident I can survive by myself for an extended period of time.

I imagine it would be too much for any one person, at this rate. [He crosses his arms.]

[She nods, mildly.]

Yes. Strangers appeared on my home world, not so long ago - a situation very similar to this. But, as I said, I was on the other side then - native to the land, rather than being taken myself.

[Whoa.]

How sure were you that they were from an entirely different world?

[She smiles a little.]

Very - some came from others' pasts or futures. And not only from one world, but many.

[prosecutory]

And they were not simply impostors or actors? [Very skeptical, this one.]

[After a moment of consideration, she shakes her head.]

I think not. At one time, there were a great many of them, some who knew one another, some who did not. Many were very surprised, or even skeptical, of those who claimed to be from the past or future, but I think almost all were convinced, eventually.

That kind of emotion is difficult to fake, especially in such great numbers.
