May I ask what it is you do, that you need a vacation so desperately?

Uh...

[There's an awkward pause.]

My work kinda varies. But I was having a really tough time right before I woke up here. Got stranded in Paris, actually.

[She makes a soft, commiserating noise.]

I see. Well, I don't know where that is, but I'm sure being stranded anywhere is not the best situation.

[ Tethelesal holds up a clawed hand and shakes his head. He'll sit on his hind legs then, taking up an easier position to converse in. ] Not at all. I am quite used to such things back in my world. Dragons were not known to be...amicable towards humans. It is an understandable reaction. You have no need to apologize, but I am grateful towards the act.

[ A small pause as the silence is filled with the clicking of gears and hissing of steaming as Tethelesal thinks. ]

Are you a new arrival as well then?

[This is so strange, she's talking to a dragon, but not one that's like anything she's seen before, and he's so...kind. Slowly, very slowly, she continues to relax.]

Yes, I...I woke up, and...here I was. Or, am, I suppose. [She laughs a little self-consciously.] At least, for the time being.

[ Tethelesal will tap one sliver claw again his copper chin as he thinks. ] It would seem many of us were brought here on the same methods of arrival. A curious puzzle indeed. I am not surprise to hear that then, I was much the same in my own arrival.

It does seem common - but, I suppose that makes a certain amount of sense. We are at our most vulnerable when we sleep.
