[ Suddenly there is a redhead standing in his way, because she is good at being in the way all the time. And she's butting into his conversation with himself, because she's good at that one too. ]

Does Asgardy smell like mud and horse crap? [ Apollo had no idea what Asgardy was (or that the y wasn't part of the actual name) and she doubted that she'd ever been there, but she was always interested to hear about possible destinations for future expeditions. ]

[ loki does not miss a beat. or at the very least, he seems entirely unperturbed. social anxiety is not a thing that exists for him.

neither is shyness. ]

Oh, absolutely. [ a pause, and loki spreads one gloved hand. ] Also musty books, stale mead, and unwashed man smells!

Kid, you just described a pub. Well, replace musty books with... vomit, or something. [ Not that she has a problem with pubs. ] Are there any good smells there? Pies or flowers or whatever?

A pub is not too terribly far off base! [ but loki gives pause nonetheless, and lifts his eyes thoughtfully. ] But.. I suppose so. Flowers in the ruingarden, and pies in the kitchens! But that is not what I think of first when I think of Asgard. I think of dirt and sweat, steel and stone and fur.

Ruingarden. [ It wasn't so much a question as just a confirmation of the name. It was an interesting combination of words, although what she was now picturing was probably inaccurate. But the smells he described, those she knew. ] Sounds like a warrior's world. Or a pirate ship, but I guess those things run in the same circle, eh?

[ ruingarden indeed. loki smiles but he offers no further explanation, as she seems to have moved on. ]

I wouldn't know, I have never been on one! Though I think it would surely be exciting, to yo ho ho along with the best of them.

But is that not the same for gods? Is it not the same for all creatures? It is an affliction of all living beings, I should think; not only mortals.

That is indeed disappointing to hear! It seems I must continue looking.

[Terezi nods, the smile momentarily gone, her face calm but determined. There is not much that dismays her. She tips her head back again to grin at Loki.]

But maybe you've seen two other gods? Humans! One wears and orange robe of the most tantalizing tangerine. The other wears a cape of the most deliciously decadent red. They are also my companions!

[ it might be rude, he thinks, but there ae advantages to her blindness - loki is able to stare openly into her face, to examine her strange skin and bright horns, the shape of her features and the texture of her hair, without being too terribly invasive. not that he's ever been too controlled in his curiosity.. but there are boundaries, of course! ]

Human gods? I was unaware that such a thing even existed. But no, my friend; as well acquainted as I may be with scarlet capes, I can't say with any certainty that I have seen your human friends, either. In fact, I have seen very few, so far!

Yes, they attained godhood through the the game! Unfortunately, most of our team, the troll team, was never brave enough to face our own deaths and attain our godhood.

[Terezi shrugs, lightly. It doesn't bother her, nor does it overly affect her Seer powers. As the Seer of Mind, she can look and See all the possible outcomes of an individual's choices when she chooses to. It's more fun in everyday interactions if she doesn't, though. She smiles up at Loki.]

Well, if you have not seen anyone at all, then I must keep looking! So to speak.

[She cackles at her own joke, because she's blind.]

[ humans attaining godhood? loki has heard of such stories - though he knows of no asgardians who were ever human, the greeks, it seemed, were occasionally fond of such things, and other pantheons as well. but through a game..? what sort of game could that possibly be? shows of strength? cleverness? the ball of baskets?

loki smiles wryly. ]

Aha.. yes, you shall indeed. But we will meet again, and soon! I would very much like to know more about this game.

I'm sure the game's ways of toying with us would amuse a god of mischief!

[Terezi's smile is wry. They had been toyed with, duped, and utterly fucked over with a culling fork. Well, they'd survived....a few of them.]

Oh, maybe! Maybe not! If nothing else, it has piqued my curiosity.

Indeed! We shall have to talk later then, Mister God of Mischief. I must continue looking for my companions!

[Terezi nods firmly. This is quite true. She sould search out the rest of her companions and soon. Loki is certainly entertaining! She has enjoyed meeting him very much! But she must not be distracted from her current quest.]

Perhaps if you see them, you could let them know I am looking for them.

[She grins brightly.It's her best winning smile. It looks just like all the others - enough teeth to give a Great White shark envy.]

[ winning indeed! what lovely sharp teeth you have! loki lifts his hand in a salute, even if she does not see it; it's kind of by rote. ]
