Who: Mikio and everyone
What: Mikio isn't fond of tree houses, especially near fairies. So he starts digging out a new home.
Where: Whitewood
When: The next day after the arriving announcement.
The blood of Mikio's mother coursed through Mikio's veins. He had the blood an insect, and a ground-level one at that. Even if he was given a tree home, Mikio decided that he'd much rather build himself an underground bedroom than sleep in the treetops where the fairies could do god-knows-what with him.
So here he is, using all four of his arms to dig out a nice hole next to a tree. He's an absolute mess, just covered in dirt. He's also topless, therefore his wings and arms are shown. He's pretty much easy to spot at this time, considering not only the monstrous appendages, but he's also throwing dirt everywhere as he quickly digs through the rich soil. He's a pretty strong guy, so the dirt can be thrown up to feet away.
...Was someone happening to walk by at the time? They most likely just got hit in the head with a handful of dirt. Mikio will apologize for that later. He's very preoccupied at the moment.

I have a pretty sturdy body.
Besides that, what are you up to?

Ahem.]
Oh, ah. [He turns to his hole] Making a bedroom. I'm not used to sleeping in cool, high places.

[ he peers in again to see how deep the hole is ]

[The hole is diagonal, about five feet inwards.]
Also...better protection against these hateful fairies.
[Mikio slowly approaches Haruto, interested in that so-called 'sturdy' body. His gaze scans Haruto up and down, while he's describing his preferred living conditions.]

[ he doesn't move away from mikio. he just stands there, curiously peering at the hole and wondering if he can fit in there too ]

[SAID SO NONCHALANTLY, TOO...]
I am cold-blooded, you see. I cannot make my own heat.
[Finally, Mikio's slender fingers lightly touched Haruto's clavicle, as if it's helping him study his body better.]

Are you sure you don't need a blanket or something?

Since I do not generate the same body heat, the only blankets useful are those modern ones that heat up at the press of a button.
[Throughout the entire time he lectured Haruto about ~science~, his fingers traveled around his clavicle, neck, and around his shoulders. Quite a touchy guy, isn't he?]

Quite a knowledgeable guy, aren't you?

Yes! I have learned about it long ago during my travels in human civilization. Reading about humans is quite fascinating.
[It's almost as if his eyes were sparkling.]

...Yes. Ever since I was very little, I always thought humans were a curious sort. They can change a lot in a relatively short amount of time, while demons pretty much stay the same for quite a while.

Perhaps...it's because they live so long. Humans die quickly, and are always looking for change. Whether it be for convenience or a way to live longer. But demons are immortal, and need certain ways to be killed. Perhaps demons take their life for granted, seeing as they live long. Perhaps they don't see the need for change. So not only do they stay the same, but their mindset stays, too. That is perhaps why so many demons in my world are so old-fashioned.
Now that I think about it, the demon world is only now just beginning to modernize to become similar to the human world. Even then, this is still a new process and many older demons see no use for it.

Sound tough to be a demon, then.
