Prepare for Trouble?
Who: Shampoo and Kodachi
What: Two rivals set aside their differences for a greater good. Possibly. Hopefully. Maybe.
Where: Somewhere in Orlea
When: March 7th
[Kodachi has been spending the last number of days trying to discover her new 'calling'; her trip has taken her briefly out of Highcrest and into the much more familiar-feeling district of Orlea.
It's existence brought only more questions to the gymnast rather than less. Why did she end up in Highcrest rather than here, she wondered. Was it some sort of sign? What could it all mean for her?
This brings us to now where an almost meditative Kodachi Kuno, clad in a black and flower-print kimono, sits in a tree of one of the various schoolyards where classes are over for the day. As one who lives for drama, she plays a shamisen as a gentle breeze blows.]

sob I'M HERE after rl punched me in the gut
SHAMPOOOOOOOOO- Oh, wrong character. Wb!
[Kodachi stops playing her instrument and stares straight ahead, then leans backward, managing to avoid getting smashed by a bicycle. The tire crashes between her legs, and the impact causes the branch to break, sending her plumetting!
However she deftly keeps her balance, managing to land on her feet as the branch smashes violently between the pair and kicks up a cloud of dust in the process.]
Goodness, is it too much to ask for a 'hello', dear? Or is that the normal way of that barbaric culture of yours?
ty! ;A;
[Of course, she didn't get the point... But it's not like trying to explain it to her would do any good.]
You see Ranma? Shampoo heard Ranma someplace, but not find him yet!
no subject
[Kodachi glances briefly to the side. That's the problem with foreigners these days! For the moment, she decides to play dumb.]
Ranma-darling? I may have heard a thing or two, but why do you ask? Is he your brother?
no subject
Yes!
[She clasps her hands to one side of her face, her eyes glistening as she stares off into the distance sadly.]
Shampoo's whole family gone, so need to find brother! Must keep family together!
no subject
[Well played, Shampoo. WELL. PLAYED. For a moment Kodachi finds herself at a loss and breaks her composure.]
Th- that isn't possible! .. S- Surely you jest, do you not?? You are really related?
[A bead of sweat falls down the side of her face. She doesn't really know Shampoo well, after all. It's normal to love a sibling- it's a possibility she completely overlooked!]

Shampoo and Ranma so close growing up, but Ranma go to training, leave Shampoo behind. Shampoo only want to say to mama's dying words to Ranma!
no subject
That is truly a tragic and woeful tale.. Having a brother of my own, I can sympathize with your situation somewhat. If only the relationship between my brother and I were as touching.
Very well, Miss Shampoo, I feel that I should assist you. Or rather, we should assist one another. I must warn, however, that the clue I have obtained is not concrete- yet it is all I have.
no subject
You so kind to help put family back together! Ranma be pleased for sure too.

It is simply the honorable thing to do, there is no need to thank me. I will share what I know:
This world is divided into many large districts. It would be impossible to cover it all, so I had approached a fortune teller. It is predicted that he will arrive in seven days.
I have spoken briefly with Akane and have confirmed that he is not here yet, so this gives us some time to prepare. Do you follow?
no subject
Means kill Akane!

You certainly don't mince words, do you? While you are mostly correct, there is also truth that we will need temporary quarters of our own to reside. For the time being we cannot return home, after all.
And, because we are in a new land, there is the possibility he could end up attracting more.. 'Unwanted attention'.
While we are both exceptional combatants in our own right, does that not also mean together we could stop those problems with greater efficiency?
no subject
[Shampoo taps her chin thoughtfully for just a moment. It's the perfect plan, really. Use Kodachi to eliminate all the rest, then it's just down to one rival!]
Okay! Shampoo agree, best plan! We put family together! But where to find quarters? Shampoo get bike for free, maybe house free too?
no subject
[The next question is a good one, though.]
That's a good question. I suppose it isn't impossible housing could be free, but I really would prefer something larger. Not to mention..
Did you get the bike from here? Is this where you were assigned to reside?
no subject
But... If bike for free, house for free too! Makes sense!
[At least... to her it does.]
We find house, and take it! Or maybe building with house on top. Make new cafe.

I see.. I was placed in Highcrest myself; though I believe I'm starting to understand why.
I'm not so certain about your reasoning but.. I do like a girl who takes what she wants; it reminds me of myself. Let's see what we what we can do, shall we? We'll start with the commercial district.
[She titters behind her hand, then walks over to sit upon the rear-rack.]
Any questions?
no subject
[At first, she bristled slightly at the idea of Kodachi riding on her bike... But as soon as she looks back at Kodachi, it's all smiles.]
No question!
[Shampoo can put up with the nice act for a while. In the end, it will further her plans, right??
But, Kodachi should probably hold on, because it's a pretty intense ride to the commercial district. Shampoo speeds off, the bike flying into the air at each bump in the road. It always lands upright, but it would be pretty easy to be sent flying off the bike.]

Conveniently in front of a shop that has a 'Going Out of Business' sign in front
- Kodachi looks frazzled and extremely annoyed.]
Where did you learn to drive; that was ABYSMAL!!! How do you stay in business with that kind of wreckless, poor excuse of a cycling technique?!
no subject
[When she notices the building with the sign, she simply hops off the bike, leaving Kodachi to fall or quickly dismount.]
Look!
no subject
Hmn.
[She holds out her hand expectantly once Shampoo dismounts, but ends up falling backward with the bike for her efforts with an unceremonious crash.
The building is a two story, old-fashioned brick structure with an already taken down sign ('Kashiwagi Tofu') near the entrance. There's an older man wearing an apron standing at the entrance, whom stares wide-eyed at the 'accident'.]
no subject
Perfect spot! Neko Hanten do really well, here! We get Ranma in no time with this.
no subject
Meanwhile Kodachi manages to get to her feet and she looks mad. She does her best to keep her composure as she dusts herself off.]
Grrrrrrrrr!
no subject
[Riiiiiight Kodachi?]
no subject
Y- Yes, what she say is.. Right..
[She doesn't make for a very good Shampoo. Especially when she is so -clearly- japanese.
The older man stares at the two for a moment seeming skeptical at first, but then nods his head. 'Well there's no doubt a cafe run by two cute girls will do better than one run by this old-fashioned man.' he says with a chuckle. He hands over the deed, just like that! 'Here you go then.']
