[ Once everyone’s settled in their particular districts, no doubt thousands of questions running between each individual mind, there’s an announcement. Not over the devices, but rather in speakers all over each and every district. A familiar voice should ring out—you did, after all, hear the voice of your Queen earlier today. ]

Ahem! Can you hear me? Ah, right then.

Hello loveies! You might recall this particular visage which speaks before you—that is, I am your Queen. Call me Queenie, if you must! I’ve met you all on this particular day, and I find it important to bestow some of my boundless knowledge onto you, sweethearts.

Now! Done with formalities, let’s see where we stand… ah, yes! Might I be the first to welcome you all to Mallow Hallow, our wonderful little country. Not too big, not quite too small either! It’s just lovely, isn’t it? Oh, how all my new babies will love it here! Or—perhaps not. [ She clicks her tongue. ] Either way, it doesn't really matter. You're stuck here for the time, so do try to make the most of it, dears.

Of course, there are our sectors within Mallow Hallow. Six… [ There’s silence for a short moment. ] Yes, there are six, aren’t there..? Well, six different communities you might stem off from! Surely you remember the name from our meeting earlier? If not, I’m sure one of the regular inhabitants of each particular district will assist you in naming your new home!

Live where you’d like, eat what you’d like, do what you’d like! Our homes are now your homes, so please, consider us all a big happy family to you! Remember you can reach me or any of the other rulers of any of the districts, over at our voicemails! [ Somehow, that seems sarcastic… ]

Also, don’t cause any trouble, or I’ll personally end you. [ There it is. ]

[The surreptitious looks being thrown their way, or more specifically Misa's way, are cause enough for private irritation. He still can't believe that Misa came to his house dressed so conspicuously. Gothic lolita, of course, isn't an uncommon fashion trend in Japan, but he's never personally cared for the style or for the type of girls who clothe themselves in that garb. It's a miracle Misa didn't give Sachiko a heart attack when she showed up on his doorstep.

Misa's answer makes him frown slightly— he can't remember anything past that, either. What doesn't make sense is the how. It simply isn't possible that they could have both been kidnapped with absolutely no recollection of how they'd been brought here. The question of the shinigamis' absence is another matter, as well. If they're supposed to be possessing the owners of the death notes, then why aren't they here? What's preventing them from following? Or perhaps. Is it possible that they're floating around in other districts? THe "Queen" had claimed that there were six in total....

The whispering is something Light keeps up, knowing full well that maintaining the illusion of a young couple in love won't look suspicious.]

You can't remember anything after that, either, huh.

[His head is buzzing with questions- possibilities, theories- but can't come up with anything solid. But there is one thing that can be tried immediately. He wraps his arms around Misa, pulling her into an embrace. His lips hover above her ear, head ducked to make it difficult for anyone to read his lips as he speaks. ]

I have a plan to go back, but I'm going to need your eyes. Do you think you can help me?

There must be other qualifiers that factor into it that we haven't yet elucidated. While it seems there are a good number of us around, it's low given the sheer volume of people saying goodbye at any given point in time. People who were maybe significant in their worlds, perhaps?

[He waits here, watching for Pharos's reaction to that theory.]

[ Light, there was even no need to ask. Misa would follow Light to the ends of the Earth if he needed her to. Misa would do absolutely anything he wanted her to. She took his hand in hers and nodded vigorously.

Hearing him say that he needed her eyes felt like a dream come true. Is this the beginning of love she wondered?

Light needed her. HER and not anyone else. The moment she met him, she already told herself that she would be useful and do anything to win him ... whether by fair or foul means. ]

Misa would do anything for you, Light! Absolutely anything!

[ She was a little disappointed at the thought of going home and having no choice but to share him with other girls ... but how could she ever say no when Light says he needed her eyes like this. ]

What do you need Misa to do?

Oh, I haven't really checked those out yet. Land is one thing, ladders are another matter altogether.

Just don't kick too hard, we still need that person to tell us how to get back.

[ While he doesn't resemble the image of Loki she has in her head, she should know better. Just because a legend or myth was described one way, the personification could be very different. If only she could still access the Little Garden rabbit network, she'd be able to find out more. ]

It's not a trick, it just happens when I feel very strongly about something! [ Usually it's when she's embarrassed or angry though. ]

"The matter is not a concern of yours," he replied lowly. His voice was barely audible to the girl but he didn't have any intention of clearing himself up if she chose to speak to her again.

He didn't possess the vampire hunter abilities that his family was given, so he wasn't aware of what she was. She was sort of annoying if anything and he's at least trying to be polite about it.

[There's a private little smirk that pulls on the corners of Light's lips for a second, then it's gone. He's well aware that Misa will do anything and everything he wants, no questions asked. The decision to ask politely for her cooperation stems from the desire to ingrain a certain idea into her mind: namely, that they're equals. The truth couldn't be farther from that of course, but doing it this way guarantees the fact that she'll never suspect him of manipulating her. Its important that Misa believes that everything she does is done because she wants to, not because Light ordered her to. He squeezes her hand gently, brushing his thumb over the back of her hand, speaking softly- as if whispering sweet nothings to a loverr.]

[His tone becomes a little more business like, at this point.]

The woman who spoke to us— the Queen. She's indicated that we could speak to her directly by contacting her voicemail. Do you think you could contact her and see her face?

Haha, in the grand scheme of things, I dont think I would be.

[His reply is as humble as pie, and the lie as smooth as butter; Light's much too good an actor to trip up on something like this. But of course Light is significant How could a god not be important? Regardless of what this damn Queen has done, he is going to change the world.]

But I was collaborating with some of the greatest detectives from my world on an important case. What about yourself?
