After talking with Tony Stark, Dr. Insano had spoken to a few other people through the network then attempted to figure out how to find some basic comforts such as food and accommodation. Once he'd settled himself into a small but shiny new apartment he had a nap and then went out again.

He wasn't sure how much time had passed.

Peering upwards it didn't take long to find the highest skyscraper and remembering what Stark had said, he made his way to the very top, trying to find the right door and knocked. He was twitchy as he waited, fiddling with his labcoat's lapel and glancing around furtively. He may look a little suspicious even though he was legitimately invited to come here.

That's not very fair you know. Being all handsome, good and getting the girls.

Well, you can be good too. It's not actually that hard.

[doctor_insano]

[He's speechless for a moment, then there's just one incredulous questioning word as if he cannot believe what he's hearing.]

You can be good too?

You said that. I heard that. But it doesn't make any sense.

Why not?

How can I be good when I'm an evil scientist?

Unless you're saying I have some goody-goody alter ego - perhaps in another dimension, but we won't talk about him.

[solvabilities]

... Maybe we'll tackle this conscience thing later.

[doctor_insano]

The question of good and evil is perhaps more complicated anyway. Good cannot exist without evil and balance and all that other mumbo-jumbo. But evil doesn't usually become good if it's just evil.

[He pauses, contemplating.]

Does that make sense?

[solvabilities]

Uh. Probably.

[doctor_insano]

Then how can you think I can be good?

[solvabilities]

Because anyone can be. It's a matter of willpower.

[doctor_insano]

Anyone is a very broad generalization. So you think goodness can be just willed into existence.

Or maybe if I made a device that can bend the will of anyone within range of its microwaves! Then I could control their mind and steal their goodness! Yes! That just might work!

[Here comes another sinister laugh. He even rubs his hands together in classic evil villain fashion.]

So you did! And that's what makes you a hero!

You like me because you know I'm right!

And you like you because you're always right?

[doctor_insano]

I like me because somebody has to and nobody else does!

I wonder why.
