[ Once everyone’s settled in their particular districts, no doubt thousands of questions running between each individual mind, there’s an announcement. Not over the devices, but rather in speakers all over each and every district. A familiar voice should ring out—you did, after all, hear the voice of your Queen earlier today. ]

Ahem! Can you hear me? Ah, right then.

Hello loveies! You might recall this particular visage which speaks before you—that is, I am your Queen. Call me Queenie, if you must! I’ve met you all on this particular day, and I find it important to bestow some of my boundless knowledge onto you, sweethearts.

Now! Done with formalities, let’s see where we stand… ah, yes! Might I be the first to welcome you all to Mallow Hallow, our wonderful little country. Not too big, not quite too small either! It’s just lovely, isn’t it? Oh, how all my new babies will love it here! Or—perhaps not. [ She clicks her tongue. ] Either way, it doesn't really matter. You're stuck here for the time, so do try to make the most of it, dears.

Of course, there are our sectors within Mallow Hallow. Six… [ There’s silence for a short moment. ] Yes, there are six, aren’t there..? Well, six different communities you might stem off from! Surely you remember the name from our meeting earlier? If not, I’m sure one of the regular inhabitants of each particular district will assist you in naming your new home!

Live where you’d like, eat what you’d like, do what you’d like! Our homes are now your homes, so please, consider us all a big happy family to you! Remember you can reach me or any of the other rulers of any of the districts, over at our voicemails! [ Somehow, that seems sarcastic… ]

Also, don’t cause any trouble, or I’ll personally end you. [ There it is. ]

E-even bigger?! This place is already bigger than any city I've ever been to! [Or so he thinks. It's kind of hard to tell. Maybe if he went to the top of one of the skyscra...no, that's never going to happen.] So that's the trick to them? If I just don't look at them, they won't hurt me? They're kind of everywhere...thanks! I owe you one.

[And he's just going to take her advice and stare down at the ground now. His sight is very important to his survival.]

[Ah...she watches this, unimpressed, and is tempted to just leave him standing there, staring at the ground.

But even Kyouko is moved to charity, especially now, and so she pushes his shoulder, roughly enough to get his attention but not to hurt him.] Hey. I don't mean like that. Just don't stand around staring at them. It's like staring at the sun, y'know? You can walk around with your head up.

[bunnyboy]

[Being elbowed like that is still enough to get him to yelp a little. Sorry, Kyoko, he's terrified of everything.]

H-huh? You mean they're not going to blind me if I look at them? [This is confusing to a bunny guy, okay? He definitely thinks of them as...some sort of strange, harmful magic at the moment. Even in the day, they're so bright!] I-if you say so. If they're so dangerous, why are they hung up everywhere?

[invocation]

To help people see at night. [She glances up.] If there were no lights, cars would crash into each other and people would get lost.

[This is probably the strangest afterlife ever, she is thinking.]

[bunnyboy]

Car...? You mean, like carriage? [Carriages crash from time to time, so that makes sense...right?] W-wait, how do they work? Is it some kind of magic? And they're on all night?

[invocation]

No, a car. It's got four wheels, and an engine. People drive 'em around. It's not magic that powers the lights. It's electricity.

[She tilts her head.] What kinda boondock place are you from, anyway?

[bunnyboy]

En-jin? Electricity? What are you talking about? I should be asking you what kind of weird place you come from! Those things definitely aren't normal!

[invocation]

They're normal where I'm from. [With an air of city kid superiority:] You're just from some backwater place somewhere. [...Or some fairytale.] Electricity's power. Don'tcha have that phone they gave you?

[bunnyboy]

H-hey! You don't know what kind of place I'm from! Just because this is normal for you doesn't mean it is everywhere else! You should be more sensitive.

[...?] And what...phone?

[invocation]

[A beat.

Then, she starts to snicker.] C'mon, toughen up! Don't be such a wuss.

[She shows him what she means by a phone — the see-through, high-tech device she woke up with.] This thing. Lemme guess, you don't know what a phone is either, huh?

[bunnyboy]

[He's not a wuss, she's just rude. He's a wuss, because he's not going to say that out loud. He reaches into the pouch at his back and pulls out what looks like a piece of glass with moving pictures to him and a phone to any sane modern person.]

...Yeah, so what if I don't? It doesn't mean anything. [Huff.] What's it supposed to do?

[invocation]

[Wuss or not, Kyouko is certainly rude.] You use it to contact people. You're pretty hopeless, y'know. How are you gonna survive if you don't know stuff like this?

[She taps a few buttons on the screen, and shows him the network.] See? These are people who are lost like us. It must be connected to some kinda mass network.

[bunnyboy]

If it's just for talking to people, then it has nothing to do with survival! I'm an expert when it comes to surviving, so there's nothing to worry about!

[Yeah, he's a bit offended. He's not really going to pay much attention.] So it just shows us whatever everyone else is up to? Isn't that really...invasive?

[invocation]

[She's mostly surprised it took him so long to get offended.] Calm down, wouldja? This stuff's important to learn, so just listen. It's not invasive. It's like... [How to explain this to someone who didn't know anything about the internet?] They already know what's going on, so it's not like snopping. It's kinda like a newspaper, 'cept it's always updating.

[She hoped he knew what newspapers were.]
