[ Once everyone’s settled in their particular districts, no doubt thousands of questions running between each individual mind, there’s an announcement. Not over the devices, but rather in speakers all over each and every district. A familiar voice should ring out—you did, after all, hear the voice of your Queen earlier today. ]

Ahem! Can you hear me? Ah, right then.

Hello loveies! You might recall this particular visage which speaks before you—that is, I am your Queen. Call me Queenie, if you must! I’ve met you all on this particular day, and I find it important to bestow some of my boundless knowledge onto you, sweethearts.

Now! Done with formalities, let’s see where we stand… ah, yes! Might I be the first to welcome you all to Mallow Hallow, our wonderful little country. Not too big, not quite too small either! It’s just lovely, isn’t it? Oh, how all my new babies will love it here! Or—perhaps not. [ She clicks her tongue. ] Either way, it doesn't really matter. You're stuck here for the time, so do try to make the most of it, dears.

Of course, there are our sectors within Mallow Hallow. Six… [ There’s silence for a short moment. ] Yes, there are six, aren’t there..? Well, six different communities you might stem off from! Surely you remember the name from our meeting earlier? If not, I’m sure one of the regular inhabitants of each particular district will assist you in naming your new home!

Live where you’d like, eat what you’d like, do what you’d like! Our homes are now your homes, so please, consider us all a big happy family to you! Remember you can reach me or any of the other rulers of any of the districts, over at our voicemails! [ Somehow, that seems sarcastic… ]

Also, don’t cause any trouble, or I’ll personally end you. [ There it is. ]

I suppose that's all. Well then, bye now, dears! And let the word spread—Mallow Hallow is up and rising once again!

[...Another Kairi? Or is this the same one from earlier? Either way, when Riku spots her, he'll scurry over on the double. This whole situation's confusing as heck, and he's got a sinking doubt that this Kairi, just like the other one, probably isn't the same as the one he knows...

But it's still a Kairi. Weird as that sounds, he's not gonna hold it against her.]

[ Her back is turned when Riku speaks, but as soon as Kairi hears his voice, she turns and smiles. ]

Ri--... ku?

[ Well that's not the appearance she expects, and her smile fades for a brief moment, though she doesn't let it falter for long, bringing it back in full force. ]

It's great to see you here... even if you are a little shorter than I remember.

[ ... Okay, so maybe she's giggling. It's the best way to work past confusion, right? ]

[...Different Kairi, and probably not his, given the lack of rapier. That's a little discouraging, but despite his disappointment, a smirk remains plastered on his lips, and he'll take a few steps closer.]

It's funny because you're a whole lot older than I remember.

[Please don't mind the lucky charm on his belt. It's a long story, that.]

[ Oh, she notices the way it swings a little as he steps closer, and she tilts her head slightly to get a better look at it. ... Odd, but even if it was intended for Sora, at least someone has it. She can't get it back if it's lost, after all.

But at his words, Kairi lets her smile grow a little, a bit more into an almost-cheeky grin. ]

Older, huh? Are you trying to say I'm wrinkly and graying?

Well, I might've caught a few grey hairs, but I won't tell anyone.

[The teasing definitely helps alleviate the situation. How could Riku resist?]

[ Riku gets a pout at that as she straightens up and starts combing through her hair a little with her fingers as if looking for said grey hairs. After a few seconds, Kairi gives him a smile and pulls her fingers away. ]

So what's up with that?

[ Her eyes go to the charm on Riku's belt. ]

Looks pretty familiar.

Well, it is your lucky charm...

[Still, her response does get an eyebrow raise.]

You gave it to me right before I took on Ansem. At least, a version of you did.

[Different universes, why you gotta be so confusing?]

[ 'A version,' huh? Kairi smiles at that and straightens herself back up, the gears turning in her head. If alternate universes really do exist, then it explains a whole lot. ]

That sounds like something I'd do, yeah.

[ Though her smile falters a little as a thought crosses her mind, and she bites her lip as she looks down at her feet for a brief moment, then back up at Riku. ]

... What about Sora, though?

[...Kairi, careful about mentioning Sora. That's not a bright idea, judging by the way Riku's expression shifts entirely, his pevious smirk replaced with a deep frown, while his eyes drift towards the ground. That hand moves to the black necklace on his belt as well.]

He's... It's complicated, Kairi.

[Sigh.]

Half of him's a Nobody with messed up memories, the other half's a Heartless who kept avoiding us for the longest time. All I ever got were notes and this necklace.

[But things are a little different now that he's seen Sora...]
