[ you might have gotten a nice little text message in your communication device, telling you to come party in Orlea. There's all types of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, and a mixture of foods to snack on. the music is also pulsing and loud enough to get you wanting to dance.

the party will go on all night till the morning, so bring a date or just bring yourself ]

[ he's coming up to you and giving you a look of concern when he sees your hands are shaking. he almost reaches to maybe still them before he thinks better of it. instead he waves a hand in front of your face to get your attention ]

_{[HAND. IN. FACE. Balfour gasps and pulls back, blinking at Tyler before smiling.]}

Yeah, I guess. I'm... This is no party I've ever seen before. How are you? There's...a good few people here.

Hey, I'm great. Just settling in and drinking some beers.

And I told you, man. This is what a real party is like.

This is...a little bit more tolerable than one of those stuffy parties that the Esar throws.

The music is certainly...interesting.

_{[Yeah he's confused okay? He has no idea what's going on or what kind of music this is or even why the punch tastes--oh. Well that he does know. It's spiked. Okay then.]}

The music is just people singing about stupid crap while keeping a beat so that you can dance to it.

[ he's getting himself a glass of punch too ]

[Balfour looks around with a mild frown.]

How does one dance to this? There's no flow, though the beat is distinguishable. I'm not sure I understand.

Ah…are you sure that's really a good idea?

[Because men don't dance with other men, not if they want to go the night without being shamed.]

Huh? What's wrong with dancing with another guy?

[He ducks his head and stares at the floor a moment before shaking his head.]

There's nothing wrong with it… I'm just not… I've not met anyone who doesn't care. Don't you get made fun of? For, you know, dancing with a guy?

Sometimes I get made fun of, but I never care when it happens. I'll do what I want and right now I want to dance with you.

[And now he's really blushing, putting a tomato to shame as he nods and steps forward, finishing his punch.]

Okay then. I can…I can agree to that.

[So straightforward. He appreciated that.]

So let's get to dancing then.

[ he's going out to a nice clear area where they can do this ]

[So the idea of dancing with someone who looked like he could be his twin was a little unsettling, but he figured that it would be funny anyway for any onlookers. He follows Tyler with no objections, looking around the room, then at the ground of the dance area. Okay. All smooth. Now how...?]

Okay I'm out here now. What do I do?

Just move with me.

[ he gets up into your personal space and starts doing an easy dance. one that barely picks his feet of the ground ]

[And though Balfour isn't used to people in his personal space or touching him, he decides to trust Tyler and do as he was told.

He's stiff, self conscious.]

Loosen up a bit. Don't try too hard or it won't work.

Ah, uh, how? I can't really…figure out how to move my body like that.

First rule for dancing is: relax.

[He's looking a bit more freaked out now.]

Just breathe slowly and loosen your muscles up.

[He does as he's told, but he's still very tense. The room is crowded, and the fact that someone just brushed against his back didn't help at all. He jerks forward, away from the contact, and knocks into Tyler, then apologizes as he tries to take a step back.

Way too crowded--No. Breathe.

He forced his muscles to unravel at least a little.]

[ he doesn't mind being knocked into, he puts up a reassuring hand though to let you know that he doesn't mind ]

Don't worry about it. How about we take a small break and hang near the punch bowl.

No. No. I want to learn this.

[And he'd learn how to dance like the rest of these people if it killed him. As long as no one decided that he was 'marriageable material' it would be okay.]
