[It's only been a few days but that's still a few days too many. As much as he hates to admit it, Green might just have to accept being stuck in who-knows-where for a bit longer than expected. Fortunately he was planning on ditching his Gym for yet another vacation anyway, so it's close enough. Two weeks tops and then he's totally out of this place.

And if he's going to stay here, he's going to be comfortable. It appears he's found most of his team, with five Pokeballs hanging from his belt (one empty as Eevee walks beside him); now he just wants a bigger place to stay in. Seriously, he deserves a nice pad with a big balcony and a view; don't these people know who he is? Clearly the best course of action at the moment is to mutter to himself in the middle of the street as he stomps along. Sorry if he bumps into you.]

Place is full of weirdos...

[Tsubaki happens to be a little preoccupied as he meanders down the street as well. This morning, he had a bit of a mishap with his contact lenses and grabbed what he thought was the contact solution but was another product entirely. By the time he'd managed to sort things out, he realized the proper solution had tipped over and was empty... At any rate, he's en route to getting some more, but his eyesight is pretty terrible and one eye is slightly irritated from the misplaced product. He starts to rub at it for just a moment before he accidentally collides with Green.]

[Green's butted heads with other people in worse ways before, but unfortunately he's feeling a little more bitter today than usual. You know, the whole being trapped here and everything. It doesn't take much for him to snap, even if half of this was his fault.]

Yo! Watch it!

[He feels the impact and realizes that he had spaced out momentarily, but it isn't until the voice follows that he registers it was even a person that he bumped into. Now that he looks harder, it does seem to have the silhouette of a human figure... He can hardly tell much more than that, however.]

Ah, please excuse me! I wasn't properly paying attention and I got careless. Are you all right?

Yeah, sure, just peachy. [He supposes there's no harm done. Green brushes off the front of his jacket and gives the guy a look. Actually, he's pretty sure he hasn't seen this guy before, so...]

Hey, have you seen any of these around? [He tugs at the side of his belt, showing a line of five red and white balls attached to it.] Or a big thing about this tall with four arms?

[Oh no, what is this, a vision test all of a sudden!? Tsubaki tries to get a closer look, squinting to see just what the other is demonstrating.]

Ah... Huh......

[He can't quite make it out before the boy continues with such an... interesting description.]

I can't say that I have... A big "thing" with four arms? What sort of thing is it?

It's called a Pokemon and I guess not everyone here knows what they are- [Which is shocking because really, how can people not know what Pokemon are-

Green stops and finally gives the guy a proper look.] You got something in your eye, champ?

Ahh, this? [He must be talking about the redness from the irritation, which causes Tsubaki to subconsciously start rubbing at it again.]

I made a careless mistake this morning, and I lost the solution to my contacts in the process. I'm on my way now to get some more, but...

[Aww, lame, he just bumped into some dweeb who can barely see. Green sighs and decides to do that good-guy thing by dropping it.]

Right. So when the world isn't a blur to you, lemme know if you see who I'm talking about. He's called a Pokemon. [He helpfully stretches out his arms for the height and length - not that he even comes close to it. Whatever helps!] Some other people here have them too. Like her. [He points to his cutie brown fox, who jumps and chirps.]

[He squiiiiints at the creature at his side... It seems like some sort of animal, he supposes.]

I'm afraid with my current impairment, I might not be able to recognize it even if I do happen upon it. But its... shape is sort of like this? [He points to the fox.]

[Said fox-thing makes an offended sound at the idea of her looks being compared to the other creature, until Green picks her up.] Er, not quite. Bigger with muscles and four arms. Looks like he could break into that queen's castle just by sneezing on it.

[Which would have totally been his plan if he had his Pokemon. Now he's just suspicious that the royalty of the land is holding his Pokemon hostage.]

[That presents quite a mental image no matter how he tries to put it together.]

Exactly what kind of creature is it?

It's a Pokemon called Machamp, you know - wait, you don't know. It's, er- [How do you explain an entire creature group/species to someone? He holds up the brown fox as an example.] They're living things that we raise and use for battles. This one's called Eevee. Makes sense?

[He squints some more at Eevee.]

I'm still having trouble understanding exactly what a "Pokemon" is. Basically, they're the same, but different? That would make spotting them rather difficult, wouldn't it?

[Man it's weird explaining this. Green can't imagine not growing up without Pokemon fully integrated everywhere. Seriously, how did you people live.]

Nah, they all look different. Here. [Green rummages through his many pockets until he pulls out a red metal pocketbook, just small enough to fit in his palm. One push of a button and it flips open with a screen lighting up and displaying images of more strange creatures. Green mini dinosaurs, bats with giant fangs, little yellow rodents with red cheeks. Feel educated yet?] This is what they look like. You've seriously never seen them before? Or heard of them?

[If only he could actually see them. He tries to make them out as best as he can, though, leaning very close to the screen. But the images are so small... But at any rate, he shakes his head.]

Are they that common? I must admit that I'm a bit concerned, myself, not being aware of such a species. Are they native to a particular region?

[Yeah, probably not helpful without those contacts. Green's not sure why he bothered to show images on a tiny screen, but there's really no other way to explain it.]

Well yeah, they're common. They're all over where I come from. You don't have anything like these?

It's hard to compare the specific details with my lack of vision, but I know for certain that I have never come across the name before. Where is it that you come from?

It's called Kanto. Guess that doesn't ring a bell though.

Kanto? Of course I know it. But— There's no way I could have missed the abundance of such a species in an area like that... Is there?

But if you know it, then how-

[This is freaky. There's no way someone can know about Kanto and not know about Pokemon. Unless...this other Kanto is...from another world?!

Nah, that'd just be silly.] Must be some other Kanto you're thinking of.

Some other Kanto? That is possible. I'm referring to the region in Japan.

Yeah, sure. [Sounds like this Japan region is a far ways away from the Kanto he knows and sadly Pokemon-less. Poor kid.] And what region are you from?
