[Open] Mock Trial in Mallowhallow
Who: Terezi Pyrope and whoever drops by....
What: The alien troll girl is holding a ferocious trial. Apparently the plush rabbit has mortally offended the velveteen beetle....
Where: Mallowhallow
When: March 8th
Within the plush confines of Mallowhallow, Terezi Pyrope is holding court in front of her brightly-coloured pillow house. It mostly seems to be made of red pillows. Arranged in a jury-row is a line of stuffed animals in varying sizes and shapes. Several are plush scalemates. A lone blue plush rabbit sits in the position of the accused. A purple-and-green velveteen beetle sits watching. Perched high on a tower of pillows is a large red lobster.
Terezi, wearing her black Libra T-shirt and black jeans, is pacing before the accused and addressing the lobster in a loud voice, obviously in full swing and enjoying herself.
"Yes, Mister Azure Longears, we have brought you here today to accuse you of most foul slander! Mister Violetcarapace has brought forth the complaint! It is written here in most revealing, distasteful language!"
She whips a piece of paper from her pocket and slaps it down in front of the rabbit, dropping into a kneel, cane slanted out sideways. She grins at the hapless rabbit, all razor teeth and murderous glee.

It didn't take long for Greg to find the place, considering the layout of Mallowhallow and how a troll would most certainly stick out amongst all the bright colors and fluff.
He had stopped just to listen to the start of the "trial", but he had to speak out after that, grinning like a dope at it all. Terezi was weird, yes, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't like weird, and once he got over that whole licking thing she was actually pretty damn cool to boot.
no subject
Terezi whirled and dove for the jury. She extracted a red scalemate, and a blue unerringly, and hurried to set these to one side. She whipped back around, yanked a cushion from the middle of the lobster judge's tower without disturbing it, and promptly flopped this between the scalemates. Never mind that the ground itself was made of pillows, it was the props that made the roleplay better. Every move was lightning-quick, sharp and graceful. She moved with a predator's smoothness.
"After all! This is an Alternian court of law!" She grinned at Greg, brightly, and turned back to face the lobster. "No, your Honorable Tyranny, we do not need to break. Legislacerator Pyrope will continue to prosecute the accused!"
She turned to the rabbit. "What do you have to say for yourself, in the presence of such damning evidence, Mister Azure Longears?"
no subject
He went back to being quiet for now, standing off to the side rather than getting in the middle of it all. She was very in to it, and it was obviously very much her show. She would have been a hit on a Vegas stage, with tricks like that.
no subject
She stopped and tilted her head, smile vanishing momentarily. Then she hopped to her feet and reeled back, hand over her mouth in shock. "What! That is the most vile accusation of betrayal and treason against her Imperial Condescension! Her Empress would never order such a thing."
And then Terezi grinned mightily, looking nothing so much like a cheerful piranha going in for the kill as she leaned forward, stalking back to the rabbit. "Or at least, would never be caught ordering such a thing! Fool! You have condemned yourself with slander not only against Mister Violetcarapace, but also against her Imperial Condescension!"
no subject
Not that he knew anything about this Empress, and it was pretty one sided since Terezi wasn't voicing what was being "said", but it didn't really matter - it was still fairly easy to follow regardless.
Figuring he was going to be watching for a while, Greg finally took a seat on the ground, watching and listening intently.

He had just been walking by when he noticed the trial and the lack of observers. Well, he could fix that.
Soon, they're surrounded by smuppets of various colors. The spectators have arrived.
no subject
loki doesn't mind it, though. he kind of loves it. and oh hey, is that his scary troll friend? ]
And what are his crimes?
no subject
Terezi spun to face her audience, and cackled in delight. She spread her arms wide, cane flashing in the sunlight as she encompassed them all three with the gesture. The items Bro had brought with him smelled fruitily delicious - she was going to have to examine them in greater detail later! But for now, well, the trial had to go on to its conclusion, of course. Nothing derailed an Alternian trial, unless it was a good massacre.
"His crimes stand as such! Not only has the accused most deviously spread slander about his fellow co-worker, he has now dared to say that the Empress herself, her most Imperious Condescension, had ordered him to do so! This is a very poor defense, you see. While we all know the Condesce would in fact order such a thing for her own amusement, trying to hide behind her name is a most foul and cowardly act! He has not the guts to stand by his wicked crimes on his own! Any record of her Imperious Condescension's involvement has been annihilated, of course. And no trail can be brought against her. She is the Empress of the Alternian Empire! So! The accused has essentially condemned himself, and all without any work on my part! This has turned out to be a very easy trial for me. I didn't even have to torture him. Much."
She smiled brightly, all razor teeth and cheerful bloodlust. Then she turned back to her court, and moved towards the pillow-tower of the judge. "Your Most Honorable Tyranny, I declare this weak-willed coward to be guilty! His execution is to proceed immediately!"
no subject
Resting an elbow on his knee, and his chin on his hand, he smirked a little as he commented with a faint chuckle.
"Slander's a pretty big deal then?"
He wasn't about to say it was overkill, but it... kind of was.
no subject
"...of being a mutant-blood who must be culled!"
In cheerful falsetto she imitated whistling shrieks of shock and dismay, and with a flick of her cane, upended several of her stuffed jurors.
"His Honorable Tyranny allows a brief intermission for the vomiting and fainting to cease in the jury. Such an atrocious accusation is horribly upsetting! But! We know this accusation to be false! For Mister Violetcarapace has willingly bled himself before the court, and his blood is indeed the noble purple!"
Terezi bounced over to the beetle and waved one plush leg, draped with a purple ribbon that flowed with the motion.
"The execution of Mister Azure Longears must not wait any longer!" she cried, bounding to her feet again. "He is a slur upon his hemocaste, he is a coward and a liar and he has been caught in the depths of his crime! He has not even been able to properly murder his victim, for then of course there would have been no-one to bring this case forward!"
no subject
Loki watches with rapt attention, stroking his chin with his gloved fingertips, his narrowed green eyes sweeping over the most plush of gathered courts. How very much he is learning about this Alternian empire! Terezi upends the jury, and Loki walks a slow circle around the gathered, stealing up behind the accused just as she whirls on him.
Very carefully, he leans down and places his hands upon the plush rabbit's squishy little shoulders. Because he's Loki, and doesn't care about what his honorable lobsterface has asked, he does what he wants. And furthermore, he isn't human. Loopholes.
"But have the ladies and gentleman of the jury considered all of the evidence? From what I hear, you offer only hearsay! Where is your proof?"
no subject
The sheaf of paper was utterly blank.
no subject
"Evidence can be tampered with before it ever gets to the stage of being processed, let alone to the court room. What if the documents were forged by another hand?"
no subject
"Mister Greg, the prosecuting legislacerator does not care about the written evidence! She's blind!"
Terezi threw back her head and cackled. Oh it was one of her favorite ploys - the trial was already come to a conclusion, anyway. It had been set before the audience had started, as was usually the case. When a legislacerator was set on the case, she tracked the offender down relentlessly, gathering her own evidence through her own investigation.
"He is most guilty! I can smell it on him, the foul blueberry stench of his lies! And I can smell the truth! And he shall be executed immediately!"
no subject
His hands are already upon the blue bunny, and so Loki plucks it up with a pout, his lower lip stuck out, and holds it aloft.
".. but he is so cute!"
no subject
She grinned, and moved closer, leaning over to tell Loki, quietly, "But if you are still inclined to sympathize, you can try your luck with His Honorably Tyranny after and rescue the corpse from being eaten."
Not before the hanging, of course, but after. The guilty party must not be allowed to live! Terezi grinned brightly at Loki.
no subject
Plays were fun to watch, right?
no subject
"How will the execution be conducted?" he asked.
no subject
She pounced on the stuffed rabbit, plopped the noose around his neck, and dragged him by it to the judge's pillow tower. She lacked a good tree but for dramatic effect this would do quite nicely! She tossed the end of the rope over the tower and hauled it in hand-over-hand until her victim was properly dangling. She laughed again, gleefully.
"All rise for His Honorable Tyranny's most noble and efficient exit, that he may dine on the carcass of the offender!"

Hm, maybe confusion like this is just what it gets for coming in at the trail end like so.
no subject
She stopped in front of them and clasped both hands over the head of her dragon staff, leaning on it. "I thank you all most kindly for having witnessed the dispensation of justice today. The audience was most appreciated!"
She tipped her head, sniffing, then reached out and snagged one of the smuppets with the head of her cane. She reeled it in and handled it curiously, feeling it all over before giving its impudently jutting proboscis an investigative lick.
no subject
If Terezi is going to invite herself to lick his smuppets he's going to investigate her scalemates. "I am of the opinion that lawyers of Earth have mind-control powers," he said, while scooping up a scalemate.
no subject
"Objection! It has been reported and proven that humans do not have mind powers, though they are very susceptible to them." Or at least that had seemed the case with John and Vriska. She grinned at Bro, the smuppet hooked under an arm.
no subject
And nope, not dropping the scale mate, he's inspecting it's workmanship.
