Who: Terezi Pyrope and whoever drops by....
What: The alien troll girl is holding a ferocious trial. Apparently the plush rabbit has mortally offended the velveteen beetle....
Where: Mallowhallow
When: March 8th

Within the plush confines of Mallowhallow, Terezi Pyrope is holding court in front of her brightly-coloured pillow house. It mostly seems to be made of red pillows. Arranged in a jury-row is a line of stuffed animals in varying sizes and shapes. Several are plush scalemates. A lone blue plush rabbit sits in the position of the accused. A purple-and-green velveteen beetle sits watching. Perched high on a tower of pillows is a large red lobster.

Terezi, wearing her black Libra T-shirt and black jeans, is pacing before the accused and addressing the lobster in a loud voice, obviously in full swing and enjoying herself.

"Yes, Mister Azure Longears, we have brought you here today to accuse you of most foul slander! Mister Violetcarapace has brought forth the complaint! It is written here in most revealing, distasteful language!"

She whips a piece of paper from her pocket and slaps it down in front of the rabbit, dropping into a kneel, cane slanted out sideways. She grins at the hapless rabbit, all razor teeth and murderous glee.

"Dave told me they were closely related to sharks. I was unaware earth sharks were inherently evil!"

Terezi will run with this. She loves it! She pokes at his ankles. She's done most of the work on her scalemates, patching them up after she'd cut them open, or sewing on missing button-eyes, and the like. For a blind girl, her stitching was incredibly neat - but then, she'd learned how to sew back when she'd had eyes.

"Don't know about your species, but females of ours have a week per month they dub 'shark week'," he said. "They turn into hell goddesses."

What is the lim of irony?

"Did you make these?" he asked, looking at some of the stitching, it's pretty damn good.

"Ah! Dave has tried to explain this, but Rose did not think it funny." The explanation had been hastily cut off and Terezi had wondered ever since. She swats at Bro's ankles again, lightly enough (still hard enough to sting).

"I did! Well, not all of them, some were gifts. But I made Mister Cherrytail, whom you're holding." Terezi knows all their names, yes. "You made these, I can smell your fingers on them."

Not really, she'd picked that tidbit up from Dave. But it sounds impressive to say.

"It involves ritualistic blood letting, constant complaints, and tiny pseudo-cotton devices called tampoons," he said.

He finally set down the scalemate. "Mister Cherrytail is very well made," he said. And yes, that's a genuine compliment from one plushmaker to another.

Doll had taken to inspecting the nearby smuppets too, not really messing with them so much as listening to the nearby conversation while it puzzled at the colorful plush things' odd appearances. When the two admitted that they'd made their plushes, though...!

Doll's eyes grew wide, and it stood back upright, bouncing slightly as though it were a young child who couldn't wait to interrupt -- but, having no mouth, that wouldn't be the case, exactly. It hesitated, as though it only just realized that itself, looking between the smuppets and scalemates, and then dug its pillow-phone out of its pocket, and began poking at the buttons on it.

can make mor toys? on 4 me to? plz? teetch how?

It sent it to both of them, and held its hands up in front of it, giving them its best beggar face... not that Terezi could see it, but Bro surely could!

"Thank you. Your smuppets have better stitching." Being able to see helped with that, but Terezi grinned all the same. Her pillow-phone pinged, and she pulled it out, sniffing after Doll's excited bouncing before she licked the screen.

An unusual request, but not one completely out of her ability to perform. She turned to face Doll, sniffed, then reached out to pap it on the shoulder.

"You like toys, Doll?" she asked, amused by the enthusiasm.

He was about to respond to Terezi when his own pillow phone went off at the same time. He wouldn't admit it, but he found the thing completely awesome. It was the plushest phone ever. And the fact that he could fall asleep on it gave it a distinct benefit.

"What kind of toys do you like?" Bro asked. "Could probably work with things other than felt and cotton, if the materials can be located."

A nod to Terezi, a very quick agreement that yes it liked toys! --and then realized that she wouldn't see it. And then bro asked things, and its attention went to trying to answer him. It pointed at some of the smuppets, and the scalemates, and it... really wasn't all that clear exactly what Doll was trying to say, since it was so excited. Holding the end of a lock of its purple-y hair to wave it a little to draw their attention to it probably just looked odd.

Oh, right, the phone.

y pet toy? soft n skwuishy n hair al ovr?

That was sent to both of them again. They'd probably be getting the same texts from it for this discussion; it would surely keep things simple.

"A pet toy? Ah, you want a stuffed animal? You like cats?" Bro asks. He pulls out his sylladex and looks at the cards. He really should eject the thing sometime, who knows what shit he has in it.

"Pets. Dave tried to explain that to me. It sounded very strange," Terezi mused, sidling closer to Bro and sniffing at his cards curiously. ~~Personal space, what?~~ "A small purr-beast is still a purr-beast."

Doll looked between the two again. Purr-beast? Cat? ....it had yet to actually see any such things, but it was interested! It leaned over slightly, to try peeking at Bro's cards, curious about this, and eager to see what he was going to do this time.

He retrieves the plush cat out of his sylladex, stashing the cards back into whatever super-dimensional hole they actually belong in.

"Well, they do purr, but domestic cats aren't much of beasts. They tend to be fat and lazy," Bro said. "I'll draw you some comics that you can sniff and lick."

"We do not have them so small," Terezi admits, leaning up against him to reach up and grab after the toy, feeling for its shape and size. "I would like that! Dave's comics were tasty. I will draw you comics, too. It shall be a cultural exchange."

She doesn't try to take the toy, just feel it - after all, Bro is giving it to Doll.

Doll blinked as Bro pulled the kitty plush out, from... well, it wasn't too sure where from, but he pulled it out! And Terezi wanted to feel it, which was fine -- it could wait! It was just so happy to have a pet, and it was a present from someone, at that...!

Doll couldn't help itself any more. It reached over, barely remembering to put a hand on Terezi's shoulder first, like she'd said to.... And then they had the big toy trying ~~(with a Strength stat of zero, hah)~~ to wrap its arms around both of them at once.

He supposed the troll planet must have been more deadly than earth, even around larger civilization. He knew it could be pretty deadly on earth, especially in Australia, wasn't there some sort of joke about the animals there being, deadly, poisonous, or sheep? So he'll let Terezi touch the cat plush a bit, it appeared Doll was patient enough to wait.

And he's much better off now then he was last time Doll hugged him. So this time there is no wince, just a smirk smirk from Bro.

"You're a huggy kid," he said.

"Very much so," Terezi agreed, and papped at Doll's face, grinning. "Mister Purple Hair is very affectionate."

Which was strange to Terezi; she was used to more hostility and competition.

She would just have to put up with continued affection, then; Doll was in no mood to be even jokingly upset at anything right now. It leaned over to nuzzle at her a little, eyes tightly shut in a grin, just rubbing its face on her some, lightly, before it turned to do likewise to Bro, and then let go of them. It figured that it had expressed itself well enough, letting them know how happy it was to be getting the cat plush, and that the "thank you" was surely clear by this point.

Still entirely too pleased with the situation, it sat down a step away, to hug its knees to itself. It'd settle down in a while, probably after it actually had the cat -- but for now, it was entirely content to wait for the two to do whatever it was they wanted to do, before it got its hands on the plush. Doll knew how to be patient and share, honest! It was just... a little beside itself with happiness, at the moment. ~~Silly baby Shadow thing....~~

"So cat comics will happen when I find the supplies for drawing," Bro said once Doll let go.

"I have that."

Terezi fished through her sylladex, wandering over to sit by Doll on the grass. She licked the cards in her hands, then nodded and pulled out a messy stack of paper, a box of somewhat melted-looking chalk, and a box of slightly gnawed-on crayons.

She spreads her clawed hands wide, narrowly missing Doll's face, and grins as she displays her bounty.

"Let us get this comic rumpus started!"

"I have that."

Terezi fished through her sylladex, wandering over to sit by Doll on the grass. She licked the cards in her hands, then nodded and pulled out a messy stack of paper, a box of somewhat melted-looking chalk, and a box of slightly gnawed-on crayons.

She spread her clawed hands wide, narrowly missing Doll's face, and grinned as she displayed her bounty.

"Let us get this comic rumpus started!"

Doll watched intently as she pulled out her art supplies. Paper and crayons? Great, now Doll wanted to join in on that too!

It gestured for Bro to sit down with them, and reached into its pocket, pulling out a piece of square paper. It was a bit small for drawing a comic on, but if Terezi wanted to make cat things, and do artwork, Doll wanted to join in! If Bro handed it the kitty plush, it would surely take the time to give it a good hug before cuddling the toy in its lap.

The sheet of origami paper, light blue on one side, and white on the other, was handled very carefully. Doll wasn't the best with its coordination, so it was going to take its time to try to do this well... and would be busy for a good few minutes, making something while they drew.

Bro hands off the plush to Doll and pulls a pen out of his sylladex so he and Terezi can get to work. He already figured he was going to recreate some of those fat cat comics from the newspaper, but in his own style, of course.

Well... his own style minus the porn. Come to think of it, he hadn't drawn anything that wasn't pornographic or morally unsound in awhile. This would be refreshing.

He'll get to work as soon as he grabs a piece of paper. And after he draws the lines, he'll color it in.

Terezi drew a purr-beast very carefully in olive-green crayon, all the while sucking happily on a red crayon. It tasted so good and she was starting to feel happily dizzy on the sensory overload. She giggled cheerfully, and leaned over to see what Doll was crackling. She snuffled after it, then reached out a curious clawed hand to pat ightly over Doll's hands, tracking the motion.

She popped the red crayon out of her mouth, holding it between her first two fingers as a human might a cigarette.

"What are you doing?"

Doll paused, having leaned over and forward a bit more to see around her hands. It didn't seem to mind her doing that, though it did make it a little more difficult to do what it was doing... and since she had a hand over its hands already, it simply put one lightly over hers, slender plastic digits guiding the tips of her gray ones to the folded paper, to trace the shape.

...And then put her fingers down toward the bottom of its little paper head, to try having her fold that tip up, making sure it was lined up carefully before creasing it, and then folding the tip of that back down, making the muzzle and nose.

It turned the paper over, so it could have her fold the ears back, and then forward again... and then, after snagging a crayon to draw the eyes and mouth on it, it put the finished kitty into her hand, pleased. If Terezi and Bro were going to make kitties, so would Doll.

It reached into its pocket to pull out another piece of paper, and started with another fold, using the inside of its leg again to make the creases at least sharper than not. Maybe this one should be... hm. Well, the shiny yellow would surely look good as a little fish, wouldn't it?

Terezi made a curious little click-chirp noise deep in her throat, and used both hands to feel over the folded bit of paper. It was delicate and strange, and she snuffled it curiously. She already knew from the feel the thin paper would not hold up to a good exploring lick. She clicked again, softly and mostly to herself, before she reached over and patted at Doll's arm.

"How do you know how to make it into a shape?" she wanted to know. She angled her head towards Bro, then held out the origami cat towards him. "What is it?" she asked, because he could certainly tell her!
